Just Living has arrived
It’s been a long time coming but Just Living is finally here and I’m so excited to be writing my first, ever blog post and introducing you to my life long passion!
If you’ve already had a little look around the site, you’ll hopefully have a good feel for Just Living and how I like to approach the wonderful world of lifestyle interiors.
Interior design is incredibly personal and when working and living in the same environment day and night, it has to look and feel right. Whether you’re designing for home or looking to create a new corporate identity for a business environment – it’s so important to encourage comfortable, positive and inspirational surroundings.
My brand approach was clear from the outset. I wanted to create a ‘place‘ where people can visit for creative design concepts, practical solutions as well as knowledgeable and friendly advice. It was important for me to create a ‘philosophy’ because as deep as it sounds, interior design and psychology are intrinsically linked and I truly believe that the Just Living Philosophy underpins my entire approach to interior design.
The name ‘Just Living’ is a direct result of the philosophy and emerged after weeks of trying to consolidate my personal and brand values into a simple name. I was rambling on to my husband one evening (which I do quite regularly) and it finally came, like an Einstein moment – “That’s it…. we just live…. we all just live….”. And that was it, Just Living was born.
I am also now a fully fledged member of the social media brigade and you can find my latest finds and discussions on Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. Please feel free to sign up to my mailing list of which I’ll regularly send you useful information and occasional promotions for the various services I offer. I’m more than happy to discuss your requirements over the phone, so please feel free to get in touch and let me know how I can be of assistance.
Last but certainly not least, there are a few people I would like to wholeheartedly thank for their dedication and support in getting me to this stage of my journey…
Firstly, and most importantly; my dear family and friends. Not only have they been my backbone and given me the confidence and relentless support to pursue this dream but they’ve also had to put up with my continual chatter about my passion that is Just Living (which unfortunately for them, I don’t see changing for the foreseeable future)!
I’d also like to thank InsideOut Creative, Gary Dodds – Headmaster at St. Martin’s School, Dennis Stanley Photography, Paul Beauchamp Interior Photography and Debbie at Passion Flowers.
Thank you, thank you, thank you…
